Hi,

I'm going to start a project to combine a green and red laser to create a nice yellow beam, and was just wandering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to where I can find a combining optic to join the two wavelengths together? And what kind of ratio should I have in the colours power?

Thanks for your time :)

Use the turning mirror from a PHR Sled, I think its about 3.5/1 (Red/Green) roughly or 30mw Green to a 110mw PHR.

Thanks Jaycey that's what I thought,

do you know the ratio for red/green?

its in my post...roughly 3.5/1 or equivelent is 30mw green to a phr set at 110ma

The thing is there are a few variables to consider like power lost through the optics and what power supply/driver you use etc.

Its realy a case of getting them combined then adjusting the power levels for best colour blend.

Do you know what diodes your using yet?

I'm asking about red and green, not violet and green I think you read over it :)

And I will probably be using a 20X burner and a suitable green module from O-like. I know Rog or Jayrob did a similar thing but with a dual laser from DX, I'll check out his tutorial now and find out what optics he used, then replicate it but in a more labby style build :)

Somebody a while back mentioned harvesting a nice size cube from a 3 LCD projector gotten free or cheap as DOA for parts etc. but I don't think the all have them -not some of the oldest one I believe --some one who repairs them may be a source of their 'leftover'optics. SurplusShed.com has cubes at good prices too. And of course AixiZ-Edmond-Lasever and more. Put a WTB on sale section or trade or maybe a free one out there-who knows? same for dichros IMHO-im NO expert on anything=Hz

Sorry, tired eyes!

Im using a LCC set @ 400mah with a O-Like 50mw Green module. It isnt finished yet (the green has not arrived yet) but I think ile get a nice yellow with some adjustment.

You could pm KGB who has a program called 'chroma' that does a nice calculation/chart that puts you in the ball park of power to colour.
