When do lasers produce "side" infra red?

When I was reading the description of these goggles:
Eagle Pair® 190-540nm & 900-1700nm Laser Safety Goggles

I noticed:
They are suitable for use with 405nm violet, 445nm blue, and 532nm DPSS green lasers that may also produce significant amounts of unfiltered 1064nm infrared light
So I'm wondering, when do lasers also produce infrared? As I understood it lasers produce 1 perfect color. So a laser producing infrared next to it's primary color confuses me a bit...

Is this something limited to gas lasers or does this also happen with diode based lasers?

It doesn't happen withgas lasers, it happens with unfiltered DPSS. This is a highly searchable topic, discussed on this forum at length many times in the past. The search bar is your friend ;)

green lasers start with an 808nm infrared diode, and go through a crystal and doubled to 532nm, so infrared is there unless there is an IR filter

Those goggles will offer protection from 405nm.

If you end up working with dpss greens, though, bear in mind they can leak 808nm as well as 1064nm.

Generally IR is not that big of an issue.
