This is one of the Super over specs from swim's pen shop. I was great until I put it in my pocket for a while and now the beam in very messed up. Here is the un-colaminated light.

Anyone have any idea what's wrong? I don't have another too compare it to.

Also this was taken with decently used batteries but I dont think that should make a difference.

I ruled out pocket lint when I took the lens off and the output still looked wrong, as no lint could get under the threads of the lens. I blew it out with canned air anyway though, but its still the same.

UPDATE: I have now discovered as I rotate my pen, the output changes, what does this mean?

Sounds like one of the several lenses inside has come loose. If it still produces green light even as the output pattern changes, its means the crystals are still in place, realigning those can drive you mad.

Can you post a pic of your laser? If its the typical New Wish style laser it can be taken apart rather easily and you can inspect the module to find the problem.

I had a green that looked very similar to that after putting it in my pocket. 1-2 bursts of aerosol didn't solve it. Then I literally just stuck the little syringe-like needle blower INTO the laser aperture and let out a huge burst of aerosol. Saw a little fluff come outta there (that wasn't visible on inspection)

Turn it on and back to normal :)

Hopefully it's not a problem with the optics or that's a bi***h to repair.
