Hailing from Northern California here.
So, around January of this year I somehow busted my gf's <3mW red laser keychain (which was generally purposed for cat entertainment).
The polite thing to do was obviously replace the pointer. So I stopped by the an electronics/tech store and picked up another 3mW pointer for her. Also, a <5mW green for myself. Why not? Always wanted to have one of those.
I toyed with a co-worker who quickly produced a 200mW import and that pretty much sent me into sponge-mode regarding laser types, strengths, wave-lengths, applications, etc..
Then I busted my 5mW trying to do the Pot Mod. A combination of impatience and a host that did not *at all* lend itself to module extraction left me laser-less.
Fast forward a couple months and here I am, de-lurking. I thought that it would be proper to post an introduction here first before submitting my next post to the Tutorials/Help/Repairs section.
