I don't like it as I waste time seeing it is just some new guy trying to raise his post count. I think these dead threads should remain so, unless someone can add something new. But, that's just me.

If it takes 7 years to find an answer to a question
already answered... I'm sure the OP has moved on
by then.

If on the other hand a new an innovative answer to
an old question arises then by all means add that new
never before seen answer.

I've done it a few times by not checking the previous
post date and when it was pointed out as to what I did...
I apologized and we all moved on..
