Greetings,

What is the best book/online source to learn about electonics generally and related to lasers specifically?

Thanks for any advice.

Maybe some others have better suggestions, but the old electronics books I have sit on my shelf unused. I don't use any specific book and just look up things as I need them. Better to have multiple sources of info too.

Not too long ago I was asking that very same question. I was told of dozens of books, most I ended up ordering, but few were really any good. That is, except two:

1) The ARRL Handbook
2) Paynter's Introductory Electronic Devices and Circuits

I still read through some sections of them on a fairly regular basis, and the ARRL curriculum lead to me becoming an Amateur Radio Operator - a hobby where an electronics knowledge is a big plus. Being a HAM has opened up tons of doors for me as well.

Thank you gentlemen (I presume). I will dig deep into these as time permits.
