I assumed it was a short Ti: Sapphire single crystal rod. Most likely this is part of a femtosecond laser.

It does appear to be Ti:Sapphire, based on the cut and appearance of that crystal.
However the optical layout is different to what I've seen before. Especially that prism triplet.

Thank you for your responses. This is definitely not a ruby laser

it's a mystery to me. On the body only the inscription TITAN. More information is not available and can not find in the public domain.

Well I have come across a controller for a Titan Ti:Sapphire laser.
So this is promising.
I'll see if I can dig up more.

Edit: I've come across a now non-existant PDF of a Titan DQ-100FS Ti:Sapphire Amplifier.
I can't say you have this model, but I can be sure of the fact that you have something along these lines.
The 100FS part of the model refers to 100 femtoseconds (fs).

I'm afraid its going to remain a mystery. What I posted above is all I could find.
The PDF doesn't load anymore so can't look further into it.

That is a nice laser. Shame there is no more info on it.
What I can determine for you is that this is a Ti:Sapphire laser and is most likely a high gain femtosecond amplifier.
What I can't tell you is the model.

If you ever want to put a price on it, let me know. I’m certain it is not a ruby laser, just had to say it again too.
