Those eagle pairs are pretty good if your willing to pay more but the radiants will "save" you from a direct hit thats around 1250mw's in power and maybe slightly higher but I wouldnt reccomend them for lasers over around 1400mw's

Hehe, I like that deagle placed next to your lasers :eg:

you have your self a self-defence kit there :p

Thanks guys :)

And thankyou Lazerz, i want to put up some more pics of the Deagle with my lasers but cant get any good barrel shots with them :(.

You said that you wouldnt recommend the eagle pairs for beams above 1400mw, my best laser reads at 1.9W so would you say the radients would be better?

Thanks again.

He is saying he wouldn't recommend the *Radiant* glasses at powers of over 1400mW, after that he would recommend something stronger like the Eagle pair.

OD 2.5 at 445nm for the Radiant, they aren't adequate for 1W+ so get the Eagle Pair.

Really appreciate all the advice guys! I think ill spend a bit and get a good pair. Lasers and goggles can be expensive, but our eyesight is priceless.

I have a laser glow pair... Laser glow LSG-532-Sport protective eye goggles OD 7+ 190-532nm, Which I highly recommend.

I also have a JETLASERS wrap around 190-540nm OD4+ goggles, which are quite good too....

Review here!

Have you decided on what goggles your getting yet?

If I were you I'd take the eagle pairs cause (in a way) they match with a desert eagle :p

And ofcourse they are high quality :D

But if you really want crazy good protection, go for the laserglow's

I was actually thinking about the Laserglows, i might be getting a Hercules so i was going to get a pair then. I was wondering though do they have goggles that can protect against 532nm and 445nm wavelengths at the same time? Or do you have to get different goggles for different wavelengths.

Cheers ;)

The Eagle Pair goggles protect at OD 4+ at 190-540nm.

They will work for greens too.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again: get the OEM YLW goggles. ANSI Z136 and EN207/208 certified protection (not just "CE" which can mean virtually anything) to OD5+ for 445nm, OD6+ for violet. Best part is that they have a VLT (how much other light passes through) of 50%, which makes it extremely easy to see what you're doing. See here for a comparison between the red filter goggles most people use and the YLW. The dot is clearly visible, and yet you're protected beyond even 100W or more of power. The goggles also serve to protect against 405nm.

I've used those cheap red filter goggles that are like $5, and they do protect against 445nm, but they're just terrible for seeing what you're doing. Furthermore, if you want to protect against 532nm, you should also have IR protection, which means getting some goggles like the ML7.
