SERIOUSLY, LOTS PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SCAMED FROM THIS WEBSITE. DON'T LET ANYONE YOU KNOW FALL FOR IT TOO.

Working Online - The Next Gold Rush?

I BET THE ARTICLE HAS A DIFFERENT CITY AND STATE THAN MINE.

""For Mary Steadman it sure is. Mary, a mother from Davenport, Iowa is thriving, in the middle of an economic recession working in the comfort of her own home.""

that is a cool scam when i use a proxy it changes to a different city

"For Mary Steadman it sure is. Mary, a mother from London, London is thriving"

It's using a geolocation system to add credibility, not too difficult but shows the person behind it is pretty smart or knows a bit about the internet. It's not smart enough to say that someone in the UK earns in GBP and not USD, though  meaning it's targeted at the US (you can also see from the "London, London" formatting that applies only in the States with states.

It really start failing when you look beyond and actually read the text, though. Some of it makes no sense whatsoever! And then finally the comments. Nobody uses real names and the same writing style on the internet.

Ha!! Have you read what it says down at the VERY bottom of the page?

"THE STORY DEPICTED ON THIS SITE AND THE PERSON DEPICTED IN THE STORY ARE NOT REAL. RATHER, THIS STORY IS BASED ON THE RESULTS THAT SOME PEOPLE WHO HAVE USED THESE PRODUCTS HAVE ACHIEVED. THE RESULTS PORTRAYED IN THE STORY AND IN THE COMMENTS ARE ILLUSTRATIVE, AND MAY NOT BE THE RESULTS THAT YOU ACHIEVE WITH THESE PRODUCTS. THIS PAGE RECEIVES COMPENSATION FOR CLICKS ON OR PURCHASE OF PRODUCTS FEATURED ON THIS SITE."

I bet they hope most 'potential customers' don't see that bit :)

WTF!?! my server location (IP) must be in halethorpe Maryland. That's a different zipcode. This has happened on other websites too.

i dont get it... whats the scam.. that you cant get that amount of money a month?

Are online jobs the next big thing? For Mary Steadman it sure is. Mary, a mother from Cedar Rapids, Iowa is thriving, in the middle of an economic recession working in the comfort of her own home..............I thought mary was from Davenport?

The comments and the "closed due to spam" note are so fake that I don't think anyone who knows even a bit about the internet would fall for it. People just don't use their real names and write correctly and in the same style in comment boxes. Also, the links to news channels such as CNN are blurry and several of the other features such as weather are really badly done.
The story itself is not written very well and since it appears as the home-page of this "newspaper" and there are no other stories it is once again clearly fake.

It surprises me how many mistakes scam artists still make.. Even I, with very limited knowledge of teh interwebz, could easily construct a more convincing site within a week. Luckily it seems the more brainy people work for good, as can clearly be seen from the leading people on this forum.

Actually the start up fee is supposedly $2. You will soon find out that they didn't charge you $2 and that they actually charged over $170.

Also, they aren't even associated with Google.

very true. if its not alot of money up front you find out you contractually agreed to a 14.99$/mo membership that you cant cancel without paying 150$ to get out of...

Oh really... so you subscribe and they hit you with a hidden fee.. yeah i also noticed the comments were all positive and sounded the same. Hmm i got get more informed about these kinds of scams!

For me it says she's from "Arlington Washington"

btw look how fake the comments are.. I've never seen so many positive comments like that. They don't seem real AT ALL.

Be sure to read the fine print:):)

If you have not cancelled the free bonus within the 7 day trial period (if offered on product purchasing), you are agreeing to purchase the bonus material and/or service at a monthly reoccurring cost. The resource center is billed at $81.32 monthly.

lmao! imagine people reading this.. un aware of this hidden fee and they go and quit their job.. that would piss off alot of people!

The owners of this site should be thrown into a pit of scorpions and then dropped into another pit of vipers. Then they should be tied to the ground and have their heads coated in honey next to a fire ant hill. Then they should be drawn and quartered and have their heart pulled beating from their chest which would then be immediately burned in front of them. Unless you can think of something even worse that they deserve. Go ahead lets hear it.
