@ BShanahan14rulz;
I feel for you if your AC is bad. Mine went out recently... on a friday evening. When the inside temp approached 81 or so, I shut down my computer. Fortunately when the maintenance guy checked on saturday morning, it was a "bad capacitor" on the drive motor. Easy to fix. But I hate to think of what my apartment would have been like if the MOTOR itself had burned out... it would have been AT LEAST the following monday B4 it would have been fixed... in 100+ daily temps...
Cooling inefficiently; probably needs to be recharged with freon / coolant.
You might check w/ your energy company for one of those "plans"... they go by various names. Your energy rate CHANGES throughout the year. In the summer, your bills are higher because they charge SIGNIFICANTLY more per kilowatt. Under one of these "averaging plans", you pay the same RATE all year long. I was sceptical at first, but it helps A LOT. It could be that the energy company makes more PROFIT out of you in the long run, I don't know, but my bills are FAR lower now on a monthly basis. I've been on the plan 2 yrs now and I am sold on it.
