may be nice to post what your talking about. I understand your title says it all, but most people aren't going to google it and look up what your talking about just to give you an answer
I did, and it lead me to "warnlaser".
But I'm consufesd, you write IR yet the waterman is a line of greens.
In any case, what would you want IR for?
It's not (hardly) visible, so the only use I can think of real quick would be as a burner.
1W of invisible laser radiation is an incredible dangerous thing. Much more so in handheld form.
Don't buy it.
