Believe it or not, the filing marks on the inside were done on purpose...
If I don't take the burr down (around the set screw area), there will be some modules that will not slide in.
For quite some time now, I use a dremel tool these days. But back then, I used to do it by hand with a round file. (not sliding the file, but turning it)
I'm sure those were the marks you are referring to.
Too bad you didn't say anything. All this time you thought I sold you a reject or something! I never even considered that some file marks (or now, grinding marks) on the inside of the heatsink where the module goes, would bother anybody...
