Wanted: IR filters for green lasers

ngiapy said:
Murrat,

how much ir does your filter block and how much green does it pass?

it should block almost all the IR, and reflect just a tiny bit of green.

amkdeath is absolutly right. I've tested on a 5mW blue and you don't really notice any power or visibility loss after the IR filter and it blocks almost all the IR!
You can try when you receive it! ;)

Murat cheers again I got mine today!  ;)
Happy to hear that.
Hope you like it. It is a very quality IR filter.
Let us know the result.
IR filters are 2 kinds. Reflective and absorbtive. This one is reflective one!
8-)
Amkdeath I think it is on the way. England is nearer than USA :)
Wait a bit more :)

I thought u were USA located LOL!

Man, I thought these were the absorbing kind... Do you know where ot get the absorbing kind? I guess this will be an A++ filter for measuring mW of unfiltered green lasers! However, I am weary about installing this in a laser, due to all that stuff bouncing back into the focusing lens and diode...

regards,

amk

I think all use reflecting one.
Nevermind about it.It has no damage on lens or diode!

im, not sure theres enough power to do any damage :)

and yes im UK :)

It looks really good- actually cheers you saved me a lot of worry as I'm putting this into a ~3mW green laser for a 6 year old so now i don't need to worry about IR :D

Just checked the mail today, No ir filter yet...

I can wait, after all it was free and murrat refused to let me make a donation to him.

I know it war a really nice thing to do... I gave him rep points. it was the least I could do! :D
