I’m looking for a handheld laser in the 3 to 5w range. I have a 1.5 watt right now and I use it to kill pests in a saltwater aquarium. It’s not powerful enough and need something more powerful. I also need a laser that I can focus the beam. Thanks.

The higher the power of these multimode diodes the worse the divergence becomes. Often they can only be used at short distances before they are no longer effective. Do wear safety goggles when attempting this.

Hi ,
Paul at short distances to kill parasites in an aquarium divergence doesn't mean to much. These parasites are very vulnerable. made e few for customers and they do the job effectively . The distance from the parasite are not that far away . You ca still use a 3E lens to do the job efficiently withe a 4/5w emission . These parasite have no substance in their structor . but exsteme caution to use safety glasses due to reverse reflection.

If you see your fish bumping into the Glass after cleaning
with a High Powered Laser.. you may need to buy Blind
Canes for the fish.
