Hey everyone I really want a powerful laser but I know i will suck at building one myself so I have an $80 (£50) budget and wondered If either someone had a laser they could sell me or if someone could build me the best possible laser for my budget thanks guys :yh:

It seems from your post that you're not too knowledgeable with lasers, so I don't think anyone will want to build you a high powered one, including me.

Before you grab a laser, especially a powerful one, you'll need laser safety glasses. Search the forums "laser safety glasses" and you'll find a lot of the info you need. After you post a picture of your glasses with your username, we can take you much more seriously.

Good luck.

I already have glasses that is the first thing I bought before I even looked at lasers for me safety is the single most important thing I bought the glasses recommended on the forums and that is why I now want a laser sorry that I didn't make this clear originally.

What color do you want ? Blue 445nm laser for $80 is below the minimum. The parts cost more cost. A red 300mW LPC826 laser can be made.

Sounds awesome you could build me a red 300mW? How much? And as I am new to lasers what sort of burning capabilities would it have?

Which goggles did you buy?

Please post a picture of them along with your lpf username and today's date?

That glasses is no good for red 660nm wavelength. It is for the blue and green lasers.

You don't have a single camera or cell phone capable of taking a picture?

See I'm just having a very hard time believing that you are aware of laser safety and that you bought laser safety goggles, when you didn't even look into what wavelength laser you would be getting.

Hi there I see you difficulty believing me but i thought that I would order the glasses and then choose a laser to suit them as I said safety is my number 1 priority.

In that case you will need to limit yourself to 405nm, 445nm, or 532nm.

The cheapest option would be a 405nm phr build. 405nm is the worst to start off with in terms of lasers though... does not appear to be very bright but in reality it is as dangerous as any other wavelength.

Get yourself a ~30mW green laser first to start off with and see how you like it.

I already have a 100mW

I don't get it. You just said..

... so you already had a 100mW w/o having safety glasses even tho "safety is your #1 concern"... Then you decided to buy safety glasses, and after buying them u now want a laser (even though you already have one)

No I bought the 100mW a year ago and to be honest at the end of the day thank you very much for your concern but my safety is my own responsibility and there's no point arguing with you if you can't or won't build me one then thank you but goodbye.
