I picked this up at the local flea market Sunday. Paid a whole $1.00 for it.
When I brought it home and measured it, I was shocked to see it read 15mW
The dealer had a whole lot of them last week. I am going back Sunday and buy all he has left. If they all measure overspec.
May not get anymore, you never can tell with a flea market.
It sure is cute! Seems to be well made. Even has a white LED keylight also

LOL, you can combine them to get the uber high power of 30mW!!

Also, you have jayrob's instructions on the background :p

Hallucynogenyc, Thanks for the heads-up
Yea, I probably just got a freak. If they sell them that cheap most (if not all) will be around 2mW.
Still going to buy a few to see.

Most of the cheapie red pointers I've bought were 10-15mW also. With a glass lens one reached 25mW!
They also seem to be around 635-645nm rather than 655-660nm.

I usually only buy these for the switches, though, so I never keep them.

HAHAHAHA, I can't believe you tried a cheapy red pointer with a glass lens. Ahhh... what we do for the science (fun) of it...
