You're welcome Alaskan. :p Yep, Diachi was correct. :)
As for that video, I don't intend to! Just the subtitles are enough to say. Nope. :D

Always had fond memories of Bill Nye from when I was in School but his new show looks terrible, and that video (from his show) is just about the most cringe I've ever seen in one place.

Gravitational properties of light—the gravitational field of a laser pulse

Video is accurate, very well done, entertaining, enlightening, and as we all know when enlightening strikes...
:can: Enjoy! Upload the speed of light download, here: :can:

I see satellites in the early morning when its dark on the ground but sunlight reflects from the moving satellite as it's high enough to catch sunlight, I have seen them late night very high, they fly very straight and at a constant speed, but the drones that look bigger than toys that I have seen do sometimes change direction or rather they fly in an arc and have marker lights at night, 2 blue in the back and 1 red in the middle is what I have seen and they flash back and forth from the 2 blue to the center red. Aircraft always have constant on red and green marker lights on their wing tips.

Try not to laugh at the bumpkins wife, good luck, I LOLed.

I thought this video was interesting, and even a bit relavent with MK's recent Sugar Rocket launches, even though the guy presenting the video is a bit crazy! :D

Nothing wrong with a bit of crazy. :p Thanks for sharing. I'll check it out tomorrow.

I checked it out, BowtieGuy. He's a fine example of what I like to call people wanting to be famous for YouTube videos. It was kind of cool to watch in slow motion, but really didn't learn anything from this guy.

You're right Paul, nothing to really learn here, just kind of cool watching the solid propelant burn in super slow motion, not to mention watching the guy set fire to the loose propelant that was on his lathe.

Yeah, that was a dumbass move. That's what I meant by trying to be famous for being famous. It somehow pervades the YouTube videos.

Could we one day soon have a 4th dimensional system of pathways, I am tired of driving to work, if I could open a door in my house and walk through it and into my ......... banks vault.

Ha Ha, you thought I was going to say open the door and step onto my job :D

Oh cool I will have to check that one out, literally I watch movies for free from our county library. Just reserve them online and they email you when they are ready, I get them for 5 days free as long as I return them on time.

Oh man, I struck gold coming across this video:

After watching this in its entirety, I came to the conclusion that it is not nearly based in what are known as quantum elecrtodynamics. From the book "Introduction To Modern Optics" by Grant R. Fowles, "If we were to ask the question, 'What is light, really?' there can be no simple answer. There is no familiar object or macroscopic model to employ as an analogy. A consistent and unambiguous theoretical explanation of all optical phenomena is furnished jointly by James Clerk Maxwell's electromagnetic theory and quantum theory. Maxwell's theory treats the propagation of light, whereas the quantum theory describes the interaction of light and matter, or the absorption and emission of light. The combined theory is known as quantum elecrtodynamics. Since electromagnetic theory and quantum theory also explain many other physical phenomena in addition to those related to electromagnetic radiation, it can be fairly assumed that the nature of light is well understood, at least in the context of a mathematical framework that accurately accounts for present experimental observations."

This is important to note because physics is really the mathematical explanation of physical phenomena and not an understanding based on examples or analogies of some other familiar model to explain these realities. I think people sometimes get hung up on the lack of an analogy and disregard the mathematics which proves the observed phenomena.

I think they are trying to get donations and to make this theory seem more like a real possibility is the best way to go about that. I personally wouldn't donate a dime to this off the wall science fiction crap. But, that's just me.

I get that, buddy. Not trying to slam you at all. Just saw the pitch for donations as very self serving, is all. Sorry if that came off differently.
