Hey +/- 3% That's not bad LOL, maybe they made improvements ? I remember the beta tester Tommy sent over was pretty sloppy.

Better high temp coating, a better thermopile and heat sink.

Lets see if anyone has reviewed it against a good LPM ?

This guy makes it sound ok.

But how long will they last? If they are good for anything its just maby to do a quick test of a unit someone bought and let it be.
They remind me of all these Dollar "Trisonic" products that will get you by in a pinch but thats all. For $80 thats insane as for 1/2 more your in to Laserbee territory.
It also didn't register that cat toy pointer even if it's 5mw or less..

If it were $25 I could see it worth it..

Oh yeah Red..are friend XM360:can:

Yea, I wouldn't trust it, it is a convenient size though.

On both of those Videos I linked back to the LPF
review of that LPM.
I should get someone to buy the "NEW IMPROVED"
LPM for me to do another review and see if it has
been improved or if it is the same old Chinese marketing.

That's a cool slideshow/video, Pete, brings back lots of memories and a bit of nostalgia.
The pics #2 and #8, are taken at Pontiac Motor Div. GM, in Pontiac, Mi. I've been there, done that, if those pics had been taken a few years later, I could be in them! :yh:

If you only knew then how much those Superbirds would be worth today!

I can imagine Michigan in the days Bow:)
Dealers could not get rid of the Superbirds back then. They were to ridicules to the public and some dealers even took off the rear wings and front nose cones trying to sell them as just Road runners:eek: Problem was the Superbird used I believe Coronet front fenders and not the regular Satetlite's like the Road Runners were..
In the early early 80's I went to a GM plant in Fraimingham MA thats now fully closed and saw Buick Regals and Olds Cutlass Supremes being made. It was weird how they both shared the same line and came down one being Buick and the other Olds.
Even though I was shocked to just how cheap they seemed to be made by that time I still bought a brand new Regal in 82..

Yeah, back in those days, they were selling as fast as they were built; quality control was not what it is today, just get them built, IIRC, the line was running 87 cars per hour!

One thing that I still remember today is watching the hood being aligned after it was first bolted on, the guys would use a 2 × 4 to put under one side or the other, and "tweak" the sheet metal for a good fit with the fenders, also used the same technique for the door fit!

Any ideas what NLO crystal Lazeerer was using with this 498nm? He doesn't state. It is unlikely to be KTP but it is just within range.
He spent a lot of money on the project and he achieved an efficiency of ~1%. So it has to be a fairly efficient crystal considering the difficult wavelength.

Anyway, well worth a share regardless if I find an definitive answer. :)

Here it is, in the link you put everything after the 1st ( = ) between the YT [] [/]

He should use a polishing puck that fits his ferrule to polish his termination, also the epoxy I bought was bubble free and not expensive and I don't see any schematics in the description, also I would want to couple that multi core fiber to a single core before focusing with a lens, interesting video, looks like there's a part 2 mentioned in his patreon.
