Nice job, man!  I was doing the same thing with some glowy spray paint I bought at the halloween store last night. Will do video tonight, assuming I don't fry the thing.

Link for the lazy:

thanks guys. if anyone wants me to try out any experiments please post, ill be happy to give them a shot

try finding a big sign or something that will flourecse (sp?)

and write an ad for some laser company or some website
oh ya: post a video if u can :D ;D

well, these BBs were glow in the dark BBs. so if i wanted a sign to stay lit up it would need to be a glow in the dark sign. some materials fluoresce temporarily when the laser is shining on them, but stop once the laser is turned off. similar to putting white clothes near a black light. they will glow while the light is on, but not when its off.

That is just amazing 8-) 8-) :o :o. It is awesome how much energy those shortwave photons can transfer to another medium.
Brilliant video, thanks for sharing.

whoa cool! i had never thought of glow in the dark stuff lighting up from a laser. im assuming it will also work with green lasers right? not just blue?

actually the greens dont do a damn thing to the glow in the dark stuff.

mikeeey,
The true color is violet and is very similar to a black light. Has anyone tried lighting up a black light poster with one of these?
