I need a cable to connect my gamecube console to my TFT 22" monitor which I use for the pc. I think VGA is for the monitor and 3 components are for the gamecube. Is this what i am looking for?Amazon.com: 6ft VGA to 3 RCA component video cable (HD15 - 3-RCA): Electronics
If someone knows what I need for please help me out. I really want to play my games on my tft monitor because my regular TV is old and sucks in graphics. Thanks in advance.

That is what you need, however you need the female version of it, as to plug your pre-existing gamecube RCA cables into it, as well as the monitor.

Ok guys I went at the local store and found this.

I went at home, connected everything and pc monitor was responding when I moved that button to output option, but screen said "check signal" and it didnt show anything :(
What am I doing wrong? Btw, i got a free tv tuner usb which lets you connect external devices and watch on your pc, so i tried it with my gamecube but colours are f*cked up, only green and grey. the video shows what i mean. HELP PLZZZ

Here's what I have. (2 of them actually lol)
http://www.rtv-veg.com/products/veglite/

It has 2 VGA plugins.
1 plugs from the box to the monitor
1 plugs from the box to the computer.

Then the RCA cables plug into the gamecube.

So with a click of a button it's able to switch between the computer input or gamecube input (much like switching between inputs on a TV)

"garbage in, garbage out" comes to mind here. If you start out with the lowly composite signal (from the gamecube), and send it via VGA to the monitor, is there really any improvement? That's like taking a 64kbps mp3 and converting it to 320kbps.

The difference won't be noticeable on a standard TV (<1 megapixel) but it's most assuredly more sharp on a monitor (what sort of regular TV uses VGA anyway?). Unless you're emphasizing the switch-ability of that contraption, it's probably better to just get a component-to-VGA cable. There are certain pins on the DB15 connector that correspond to each of the three component channels, so there's no loss. That, and it's almost guaranteed to work.

I don't understand :( Can you tell me if this http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.9813 would work?

Silvershot my brother in law once told me that some Monitors wont work with those adapters because of ...... it had something to do with the color green I think. Its the monitor that doesn't understand the signal I know that for certain. How to check what monitors will work is something I don't know. I'll call him for you. I'll get back to you.

I agree mikeeey... the only thing is it will suck on a monitor because even Svideo will be blocky. He would have to get the one that has Component jacks, and those aren't cheap.

^They're ten dollars. I even gave a link. The VEG lite that was suggested is over four times that.

I don't understand :( Can you tell me if this DealExtreme: $2.81 VGA to S-video and 3RCA F Cable would work?

Not with component (the red, green, and blue video connectors) only with composite (the yellow video connector) but that would give you a somewhat blurry picture on something with as high def. as a computer monitor.

And... Why the F:)ck are there audio connectors there? There are no pins in VGA that correspond to audio signals!

Dunno lol. The local salesman told me it would work. W/e I don't have much time to deal with this for now, school first.
