Personally, I would sand off the plating from the faces and the hole in the washers and from around the front part of the Aixiz module. Then solder them all together, that way you will get the best possible thermal contact. I have never used washers, with a bit of luck someone who has used them will answer that one for you

if i commanded a pre-installed sony diode in aixiz module from stontek, do i need to undo it so i can solder the diode with the driver??? ?
i want to make my own driver too... and if i make the driver made by the guy from the tutorial, will it make a good laser? can i do something to have a stronger laser...?
