Very intriguing Trustfire XM-L 2x18650 Torch

Im looking at pickup up a "budget" XM-L light. I have some Q5s, R5, and a P7 drop in. They are bright and pocket size but I want a nice big light with some good throw.

After quite a bit of research I an leaning toward this light

it can be found here a little cheaper without batteries or charger

I have never heard of this site before though so I am skeptical about purchasing from it.

I have found some reviews on it and all of them are quite positive. It sounds like one of the few "cheap" high output lights that doesnt have heat dissipation issues.

I know it wont be the Lumen output they claim but I assume it will far outshine my P7 drop in right?

CREE XM-Ls has a higher efficacy (around 100 Lumens per Watt) than the SSC P7s (around 90 Lumens per Watt). I'm pretty sure they'll outshine P7s.

OP reflectors will give you an overall better beam characteristics, but less throw. SMO reflectors will give you better throw, but may give you some rings around the beam due to imperfections on the LED die.

I was actually thinking about getting that light along with a pocket sized one

It looks really nice and it probably functions really nicely too.

Its an SMO and I dont really care about rings. From pictures ive seen it looks like it has some flood and then a very focused hot spot of white light in the center for good throw.

If I do get it ill make sure to post a review. I might buy it from ebay for $49 shipped since things from ebay tend to come faster than these chinese sites because ebay sellers want to keep high satisfaction scores. Unless you guys can find it cheaper from a reputable website....that is a challenge

Is there any reason you think this will throw better or are you just guessing? I have read a lot of bad reviews about most of the lower price XM-L units. Mainly they tend to have problems dissipating all the heat generated so they can only run 5 minutes or so continuously. This unit has the biggest internal heatsink I have ever seen in a "_____fire" type brand flashlight!

I think it will throw very well. this is basically a UltraFire C8 with another label on it. search on youtube: ultrafire c8 and you'll see...
from what I've read, I think it's actually TrustFire which has the worst quallity check from all these xxx-fire chinese brands
