thats rather unfortunate, I wonder how long you could leave it on until it burns itself out, if its longer then just 20s maybe 1 minute or just a few minutes, might possibly make some sort of heat resistant material around it to withstand the heat.
 
it's actually a good sign that it heats up that fast, assuming there isn't a short or something... It means that the LED is efficiently dumping its heat into the host's metal.

on the flashlights point, but not on my hands after holding it :crackup:

there needs to be a grip of some sort, maybe some duck tape or something like that would help with your hands .. or wear some gloves lol
 
man.. i was hoping for some pics.. oh well maybe this week ill get mine. if i am lucky tomorrow perhaps :)

I just got mine! its bright as hell during the day! tonight ill play with it. but i can already feel within 30-seconds it seems it gets warm
