UltraFire F13 NDB7675 465nm+ (MANY PICS)

DDen- Eudaimonium is still around but as the heatsink demand started slowing down so did his presence on the forum. But I had some sinks made this summer from him that came out flawless!!

M462 is a nice diode, very comparable to m140 and I love those. Output is only slightly lower than most m140s but @1.8a mine runs at 2.3w. Only problem is that it does stay closer to its center wavelength, not really a problem but it can be on the quest to 470nm!

@Calikirk - I've got an NDB7675 running at 2.3A in my "Maraxus" host, and recently had it spectro'd, it starts up running at 466nm, and when warm is at 467-468nm.

Nice!! And that's what I would likely run myne at maybe at 2.4. I'd like to put one in a decently big heatsink and try to get it as far away from my 07s color, as well away from my 462. There is a big difference in the color of my 462 @1.8a and 07e @4.5a currently and as the 07 heats it only gets more of a difference. I'd love to get my lasers spectro'd just to see where they're all at.

These 7675s seem to be pretty robust as alot of people run them successfully at and around 2.4a.

What made you chose the NDB7675 over the M462? Is it the WL it can be pushed to?
Well, I chose the NDB7675 because it can be pushed much further than the M462. Also, I wanted to do a 9mm build, but that wasn't much of a deciding factor. The farthest I've seen it pushed is 2.9A, which put the WL at 474nm:drool: http://laserpointerforums.com/f40/spectro-ing-new-nichia-1-4w-462nm-470nm-ndb7675-89422-3.html
I would not recommend running it THAT high because your diode life will be really short. Also, you may get a slightly worse diode that may die at 2.9A

Oh I have to get one now seeing it at 474nm.. I think I'll go for 470 and call it good! 2.9a makes me a little worried as that seems like its right on the verge of blowing, could be wrong. DTRs site says 1.9a was the rate of return:na: I think 2.4 will be far enough

Nice build post. I got one from an eBay auction for $47.00, but haven't gotten around to building it yet. I plan on checking the wavelength over time with my USB2000 when I do get it done and will post what I find then.

i have 3 builds running this diode @ 2.4A and there is a noticeable difference in the color of them. The more power they are putting out @ that current the less shift there seems to be. This diode is a silly one, I actually want the most inefficient :P

That is odd. You should try to determine the wavelengths of each using a diffraction grating. It's not that difficult to do once you've tried it one time. Then you could post the actual wavelength sift as a function of output power.
