I think you are all overreacting. Yes, close-up exposure to a lot of IR will cause damage. But this is the IR from a 5mW pen, and if the crystals were misaligned when he dropped it, it's not going to be full IR output. It's likely only the amount of extra IR that wasn't filtered, which would be 60-80% of however much green there was. Considering there was <30mW of green in the first place, and he didn't even look into the laser, chances of damage are extremely slim.
Mofosho, if you don't notice damage now, you never will. If no one had said anything about damage in the first place, you probably wouldn't have even noticed, right? I don't think it's worth paying to see a doctor. Oh and about the glasses, nope, you won't see a difference. The glasses can only focus on what's in front of them, not behind them.
