Ok I have found a 16x Blu-ray drive - model HP AR482AA - but can not find any info on its actual write speeds. HP just lists it as a 16x Blu-ray writer with no further specs. I have no idea if that is DVD write speeds or actual Blu-ray write speeds. I just emailed my CDW+G rep about it to see if he knows since they sell it.

Even so, if it actually writes Blu-ray discs at 16x then it could be a better diode than the current 8x/12x diodes. Keeping my fingers crossed as await word from my CDWG rep.

yea the data sheet shows 16x DVD writing speed. LOL. Besides, we would have read about these diodes being made before the drives came out. Also, the 12x drives just came out, so it doesn't make sense.
