Hello everybody,

I'm coming today because i need some help...
I'm a french guy who is a fan of the Predator's saga. Some others fans and me are about to make a fan film and in order to complete my costume i need to make a predator's sight for my bio helmet and it is the problem !! I didn't have any notions in laser mounting...

I have 3 laser diodes : 3v
30mA
< 5nW
630...680 nm
Red color

And i need your help to put it together... If anybody have an idea or a draw to show me how i need to do, he would be welcome !

I'm sorry for my english but i'm a french guy.
Thank everybody

You need to show us some photos of the lasers you are using...
There are many types of red lasers...
Are they from the $1.00 Store...

Hi thank for your answer.
In order to give you an idea of the material, it's the same laser diode which is in the first item :

optoelectronique

It's the "LP705R" type...
Thank you.

3 small tubes.

Solder a jumper over the switch pads for constant on.

Shape a block of wood into a triangle form, drill 3 holes for the small tubes.

insert tubes into holes, pass wires out the back, use one switch, connect to battery pack.

Hard to describe exactly, use your imagination.

Man... Dave... your memory is better than mine...
I remembered seeing that Thread as soon as you posted it...

My predator sight sits in a drawer of my desk. My grandkids love it. It is low powered (>5mW each) and it "looks" different than any of my other lasers. It gets played with all the time :san:

What happened to Ace? Would you happen to know daguin?
I remember that you two met up once or twice in person.
Haven't seen him on this forum in a LONG time, hope everything is alright and he just has a different hobby.

When last I heard, he was in line for a promotion at work. It has been quite some time since I've heard form him.

Peace,
dave

Thanks for the info, dave. I tried sending him an e-mail but his old e-mail account has been closed.

Oh well, sure he is just bussy working or something.
