Even if someone was to put linux on that palm, what could they possibly do with it then? Put a date in a calender?
There is a reason they never caught on before the phone was added, its because they are useless...
If I was you, I would strip everything down and sell it as parts. I sold about 15 maganets from hard drives for around $30 on ebay a while ago, You could sell cut and polshed FS mirrors for $5 a 10 pack or something, the backlight diffraction gratings are worth something, there is even something of a beamspliting mirror in there that can be used to make a double spyrograph out of one laser.
Make something out of that trash, and then someone might buy it.
