Here's my new 100 mW pocket mini igniting safety matches from ~1 meter. Just enough power to do this. You don't need > 300mW for burning stuff.

This is now my favorite laser pointer. The expensive glass lens option was worth it as it greatly improves burning efficiency at low powers.

reminds me of my 250 mW red pocket mini. I wonder if it is still working...
