When i was about 18-19? i went what felt like that speed on my skateboard down medical dr. (a very steep road) here in salt lake. I had speed wobble most of the time. Anyways.. when i Tried to make it around one of the corners, I hit a small rock and was Ejected from my board.. I think broke my hand (because i never went to the hospital) my skin was all flapped over and i could see the bone.. i cleaned it out right there on the side of the road and super glued it back together.

thats the first thing i thought about when seeing somebody go that fast. kinda like a flashback or somethin.
I still have a few wicked scars on my back from the "tuck and roll"

Duuuude, f*ckin' awsome. I'll add this to my dream need-to-do activities! I mean, I think I saw that clip a while back but now, it's still awsome! Where's my welding machine...
 
Seems more than a couple of people had this dream. Got to give that guy his props for having the balls to do it. Must be an awesome rush.
 
This reminds me of a video game that came out when the ps2 first came out. Ill have to look up the name of it
 
Superglue/cyanoacrylate (kinda the pure form) is actually used medically - though the domestic stuff isn't necessarily recommended - cyanoacrylate itself is fine for the body, but they may use additives in it. You get welding machines (electric current) and welding torches, both work well in specific circumstances.

I was refering to the welding machine that uses high current (like ~70-80 A) Arc to melt the rod used as one pole, hence the molten metal drops and attaches to the metal used as the other voltage pole.

Not torch, just the welding... machine :D

Medical applications to cyanoacrylate? Hmm, couple of comedy scenes come to mind :crackup:
How exactly is it used?

If I'm going to attempt that self-made suit downhill rolling, might as well stock up on superglue. For some reason, something is telling me that I'm going to need it.
 
Eudaimonium its called an MIG welder... there is another variation usually reserved for high quality parts, and for metals with higher melting points for example aluminum. Its name is a TIG welder, and has a gun and a rod, where the rod is not part of the electrical circuit. The other variation is a electric arc welder, which is very similar to the MIG welder, but in most cases it uses a AC power to join the metal, where as MIG uses a bank of capacitors and DC current.

Just a lil side note :D (2 years of engineering didn't go to waste after all!)

Duude, +rep for that, I'll take a quicky lookie at wikipedia for that!

I just though there were CO2/Acethilene torches, and electric arc welding...

Looks like it goes waay more than that...

did this about a year ago, but with my elbow :D strange thing is i didn't even feel it (mustnt be many pain receptors in your elbow or something? :thinking:) didn't super glue it back together though rofl :p

Okay, I didn't know there was such a thing. But the way he worded it it sounded like he just used ordinary super glue on his skin.
