This can't be 1000mw 1w

Hello, and welcome to laserpointerforums.

-No 1W 532nm laser will use a single 18650 as a power source.

-No 1W 532nm laser costs 44$.

-The laser host is too small to thermally support the 4W-5W 808nm diode needed to pump a 1W 532nm DPSS.

The general consensus: This laser is no where close to 1W and is most likly a scam.

Have a nice day sir.

Thanks I knew it it was nowhere close just wanted to know your best guess to actuall power my guess is 50-100mw

You are most likely correct about 50mw.

One 18650 should theoretically be able to power a 1W 532nm laser. Chance of this laser being 1W is zero though:(

a one watt green needs like 4000ma. i think that much current would kill 1 battery pretty quickly.

michael.

I'm not saying it would be a good option, just pointing out that one 18650 can actually do the job. Note I said "theoretically".

In practice, at the moment it doesn't really work out.

^^^That...is one of the reasons I spend some time looking at threads I probably haven't read through.
