Hey guys. Olike just put out this really great looking 405nm@400mW laser for just under a hundred bucks... think this is a good buy and that it will burn well or that it will be underpowered due to its waterproof lens?

Well even with some losses 400mw of 405 is a great deal for $95.

I wonder if their using the 6x SF-AW210?
I guess they could also be using the 12x SF-BW512P.
They sell both sleds. They don't list the current in the specs.

I dont think its a 6x. This looks really nice. I like the hole laser especially the head makes it look kinda mean.:eg:

What is the effective visible range & will it pop balloons? I have read that violet lasers are not the most visible, & wonder if it can be easily seen ... ?

It depends on the light conditions, I have 2 cheap ebay pen style 405 and the beam is more visible than my reds beam. Thats a good buy!

I just ordered this laser. I don't have an lpm but I do have a 200mw new style dilda. Could a burning comparison be a decent way to get a general output power guesstimate? Also I will do a beam comparison with my $9.00 405 ebay laser in fog. I will try to make a good review but it will be my first so bear with me. I might make a video if I feel like it at the time. I used the fast shipping service so I am hoping that it will get here within 10 days.

Bobby, I will let you know how far out I can see it and what its maximum balloon popping range is. keep in mind that I don't have the steadiest hand so add a couple feet to whatever my result is.
