Thinking of buying the Aurora 200mW...

i dont see the attraction to dragon lasers, everything seems insanely expensive

CNI are like the BMW of lasers. lol Sure you can get a laser from DX but that is going to be like a geo metro compared to a CNI. :P

Dragon lasers has a close relationship (they might be owned by) cni lasers. That is a CNI laser that is being sold under the dragon lasers name. It is a 200mw 445nm for $200. Go back a year $200 for a 200mW 445nm would of been a deal so good it probably would of been fake. There really isn't too much to compete with it price wise except for other 445nm from other sites and members here. I think some one is selling 1000mw 445nm for under $200 in the bst section. One think to remember is that that all use the same diode so it comes down to build quality. O-Like and Rayfoss have a 1000mw 445nm for under $200 but the quality is going to be far less than Dragon Lasers (CNI). I think you best be quality wise is either buying a CNI laser or buying one from here in the bst section.

I don't really want the 1W Spartan alone for the reason it being SO strong.
Can anyone accually give me an argument that would leave no more uncertainty left in me by underlining it's quality in terms of it's specs? =)
Also, it's a much slimmer build, hows the heat, etc?

You don't know what your missing out on. Please keep in mind both are VERY dangerous and can cause blindness.

HUH? I have a 405nm CNI pen and I like it :P

Well the diode is going to get less hot than lets say one at 1w, but there is also less thermal mass. They dont have a duty cycle listed on their site, but with my 445nm diy pen (with no heat sink just the module) my duty cycle is 30 seconds on and 60 off.
