Thinking of buying a True 100mW ~ 200mW from DX!

Right now I'm willing to spent a little under $100 on a laser. I heard that the 100mW Green Laser Pointer DX is selling isnt that good itself. From what I heard the true 50mW is a much better deal because of its mW/$. I just want to be able to buy a laser that can light matches in 2-5seconds, pop some balloons, able to feel the sting on skin. I'm either buying True 100mW, or 150mW since I heard 200mW wasn't so good. But I still might end up getting a 200mW because of it's price compared to the 100mW true or non. Even though they say true, I heard they just use diodes from New Wish rofl.

Anyone do any measures on the true 100mW, non true 150mW, and 200mW?

For anyone who does have anyone of these. Are you satisfied with the Laser Pen itself, ( We all know DX ships slow ass  ;D)

So in the end, a laser pointer/ or even flashlight style, preferably green since it's bright and burns, that has a stable beam output. I don't like how laser like to flicker or fluctuate from time to time. I want something worth the buy ;D anyone know where I can get such lasers?

If you want a 100mW laser from DX, your best bet is buying a 200mW, and you might get lucky.

I'll think of getting glasses later  :P

Once I decide where or what to order :o

That web does sell some lasers. But I don't really understand the pricing. These true true pointers that output the true power?

I like how chinese companies sell cheap lasers. I hate how they aren't so reliable. You get what you pay for. But for the money and time...kind of a waste  ::)

So anyone know where I can get buy a laser that has a stable beam, can pop balloons, light matches, for a little less then $100 CAD? And please don't say any 50mW-100mW+ should be able to burn. I do know that, but I want to know a specific company that is reliable and doesn't overly-over-price their lasers.

EDIT: THanks rob, I'll think about it  ;) Still need more suggestions before I start complaining about a laser I shouln't of ordered.

O-like.com is pretty reliable. The customer service is the best, and Suzie will replace it if it's underspec (which rarely happens). This is of course in the cheaper range; go with Nova if you want to save for a top-notch one. ;)

120+mW for 108$

80-100mW for 75$

Note that the 80-100mW laser could very possibly be 100-120mW.

Is everything priced in USD :o?

I do see 3 different pens all 80mW-100mW...should either of the 3 pens operate differently? One of them looks like the one from DX, the other 2 I'm not sure.

Heh, I see I see. So I guess I shall be ordering here. $98 bucks to a 80mW~100mW that I don't have a meter to test with  :P

Is it really worth it though? Alot of Americans order here, but I'm Canadian so it shouldn't matter. But for that extra $25 ish CAD more I'm getting a laser that will deliver 100mW+ right? :S Man, I'm so worried. It's gunna be my 2nd laser I'll own.

$46 for a true green laser on DX ($39 USD)
$101 for 80mW~100mW green laser from O-like ($75 USD)

I'm having to pay that extra $25 dollars :S I could of used the money along with abit more to get some glasses :-/

You're paying the extra money for garunteed output. It doesn't really matter which of the 100mW lasers, but I showed you that one because I personally don't like the newwish host at all (rubber coating scrapes right off).

Haha, I see I see. Well thanks for the "inside" knowledge on this  ;D I don't know much about lasers myself. I wonder how long the clips on these pointers last ;O

And again thank you, I might end up ordering this soon. Takes a week and half to arrive ish? For people in North America.
