So, they did arrive as agreed.

First impressions, the host is solid nicely balanced and pleasant to look at.

On first test the 445nm looks bright, I can’t see the beam in daylight and, divergence is pretty awful even at 2 meters. Not sure of power as I don’t have a LPM (perhaps some one close to me can chime in and meet up for a couple of beers and to measure the

The 520 looks bright, bean just about visible in daylight and divergence is not as bad, but again, not sure of power.

Will try to do some burning later when I’m alone in the house and report back.

Happy everything turned out ok... but, I need to measure power to make sure I’ve got what I paid for.

Are those the only pair of Eagle glasses you have? I'm not to sure that they cover the 520 green laser?
but I just saw you have the red lensed that come with the kit.. Test those glasses on the side lens to be be sure they are safe..

I’ve got a couple of EP’s pairs. These cover from 190 to 540nm visible and from 800 to 1700nm infrared.

They should do the job.
I need some one who has a LMP to help me measure the power. Happy to drive a couple of hours to meet up.

Nice looking lasers; glad to see that they arrived, and seemingly working well! :)

It'll be interesting to see how they measure vs. what was claimed.

They sure look the part. I’m curious myself to find out how much power they pump out.
The batteries are the chinese 4000mah cheapo stuff, and I have no clue how much current can be drained out of them. I shall get a couple of branded pairs with at least 40A drain and compare out put with those too.
Just need some one close by with an LMP... Anyone?

Those 40 amp drain batteries will not be protected cells. They can be over discharged and that can cause them to fail. I doubt you need these for that green. Likely not for the blue either. High current drain cells are for 7+ watt NUBM44 builds that draw 4.5 amps or more. The batteries tend to sag under that high drain. Just a thought. If you don't over discharge the unprotected cells you should be fine with them.

If you needed high drain cells those cheap batteries would definitely sag under the load.

‘Below shots of the 445nm. Divergence seems pretty bad, that’s about 2.5/3 meters with the lens fully screwed in. It is a line of about 2.5/3cm. Is that normal?

Yeah, unfortunately after the initial blue diodes, M140, NDB7875 and others that had very good divergence specs, all the higher power, above 3 watts, diodes have these problems. The NUBM44 being the worst. The higher power 635nm/638nm diodes are terrible too. The Mitsubishi ML501P73 is a great example of the reds with bad divergence specs.

That's normal for a higher power multi mode diode. More if it's suing a G2 type lens or any single element lens.
There are ways of taming it with a different lens but at a little power loss.

Well there are ways to burn from somewhat far with a Beam Expander.

Seems like decent quality at least at 1st glance and the housings look attractive...........I assume there's also a tail cap switch in addition to the side button for added safety ? Do these have a lockout code ?
Would be interesting to see the output end up close, is there a dust window ............actually I see you have several caps so the 100% cap may have a dust window and may be threaded for the 3XBE, also is the collimating lens glass or acrylic and what's the actual output, also how well does waste heat transfer into the housing.........that said the Chinese can made good quality products it's just a question of how much effort was put in and what expense spared............be safe and enjoy, update us as time marches on so others who may be interested can make an assessment. :)

I’ve got a few beers in the fridge so, I decided to stay and play with the new toys.

The 445nm laser burns through a cd case in about a second at close focused quarters of about 10cm. The green one takes about 10-15 sec with a much smaller diameter hole at five or take the same distance.

Beautiful blue and green beams and so far, although a little disappointed with the divergence performance, I’m pretty darn happy.
Talking with the seller see if he can give me some tech specs (lenses, and diodes) and an answer about a beam expander.

Yes, there’s a safety screw at the back, no codes, one press goes into low power, one more into high power and a third into strobe.
‘The lens assembly is threaded for attachments.

Now, where’s Curtis?, he lives about an hour away from me.

** Edit** Just got a reply... darn this guy is a fast communicator.

The blue one uses: NDB7K75 (9mm) 3W
and the green one: NDB7475. 1W
Not sure about the material used for the lenses, I’ll ask.
He has been two months out of stock for Expanders.
