I know its been done, I think twice now..
But they where G1, and a G2 if im not mistaken. If not. OHHH well heres another one..
I got this thing 3 months ago. Got my LPM about a month ago. It was putting out 700mw then, now today with new batteries was maxing 505mw. I rather it not work at all than that crap.
So its time to destroy, well carefully destroy :D
I didnt have a socket to fit down there to utilize dave's hammer method.. lol so I used my microscopes pole mount to push the driver out. Worked great.
I Salvaged so far a nice empty host, on/off switch, Unsure if diode is ok or not. Pins are twisted, but still attached... I small heatsink off the driver. Be bout it.
Heres the pictures.

Thanks

Throw In a new diode and a driver, and you got a nice laser there!

Thats my hope.. Thinking of either a Dual Drive 445nm or a 12x 405... Im leaning towards 405.. Be a good host to really push a 12x in I think.
