I have a new flashlight in my custom lights collection. "The Cypreus" as you all might know as a laser host that I recently made. I simply loved how they turned out and decided to make another one that could house the guts of a basic 1000lm flashlight, better yet in a edc form factor.

It has been an amazing weekend so far, Here's my new edc light.

This little beast is a POWERHOUSE, it is running on a single 18350 IMR and the copper body takes care of the heat I can run it on MAX for as long as I want, It does get hot to the touch.. Hope you guys like it, It is my latest gem for sure.

Thanks for looking :)

Hey, that's a pretty decent host there...
One small idea which I'm sure you might be thinking of doing already,
is to create sink fins around the head of the host. (maximize thermal transfer into the surrounding air)
Could be the next phase of design?

I also like the host as it is too!

Can't wait to see the Cyperus II XL !! :D

Excellent craftsmanship as always Sinner!

Have a nice day,
Jim

Wow that looks fantastic! Will you make an MT-G2 version? One of those running at 6 A and 8 V could really benefit from a host like this! ;)

I will , but in a larger version so 2x18350's can be fitted inside , 6A draw from those poor little aw batteries seems kind of a stretch though so I might run them at 3-4Amps only.

Dont worry they can handle it! I have a poppas modded with this setup and 2 x 18650 run happily at this current....just not for very long though! ;)

It would be cool to build a copper headed 2x 26650 flashlight (or perhaps pill area/section), but with an Al body to cut down on cost! I was looking at a few 2x26650 lights with at least a deep 63 mm head to help with the throw of the MT-G2.

Yes indeed, The larger reflectors are awesome when it comes to MTG2 I think I can add that to my to-do list , Thanks for the suggestions.

You don't need that much of a larger reflector. Dedomed, the MTG2 is almost the same as a domed XML.

Very nice little light :gj:

What a beauty!!!! sinner you constantly amaze with your craftsmanship and style.
A work of art in copper. :>)
