Some of their lasers are cheaper than a flashlight host. I wonder if the heat sinks are decent.....might be good starting points for a build.

You overestimated the Chinese cost to produce them. If you think 90 cent host is cheap, I am sure they can produced it for 80cent.

You're right about that. But even if it costs them 10 cents to make it it still costs me ten dollars to buy it. The 10 dollar lasers may be a good start for builds......probably not like a drop-in-diode kit, might be more like a drop in module kit. I wish they had that rifle looking one for $10 instead of $90.
