Hi i'm a newb here and am currently in the process of writing an assignment where a laser pen device would be used in places ranging from Afghanistan to Norway.
Does anybody know where i may be able to find information on how extreme temperatures may or may not effect laser pen devices?

Any information would be brilliant thanks

Well green lasers (532nm) which use DPSS (most of them) are very sensitive to temperature so I would recommend a blue (445nm) or red (635-650nm)

Cheers jim, i assume the same goes for the more basic red laser pens? I don't suppose you would know where i could get some sort of factual data for the temperature effects?

No almost all diode lasers perform better when cold

If you want actual data, you best bet is having someone with an lpm meter the same laser at various temperatures.
