me_too_lazy said:basically everybody that says they have had good experiences with techlasers, DOESNT OWN A LASER METER. They don't know they are getting ripped off. Those "good experiences and good reviews" involve "the beam and dot seem to be 125mW... it burns my skin". Those techlasers reviews annoy me a lot
At the very least, the CNI units they sell check out and I've bought a few for me and my friends. I've made 2 purchases so far since buying my first laser from them in Dec. 2007. At present, me and 4 of my friends now own 95mW green lasers + accessories. One of my friends has access to a power meter did the power checking for us and they are up to spec. On average, the power dips to around 80mW but after a few seconds picks up and stays on average around 90-120mW sometimes peaking at 130mW. Delivery was fast and customer support was helpful. No complaints here.
For people who have no access to any power meter, can't the laser's burning ability be used as a rough estimate on a laser's power output?
