Hello,

Hoping someone here can suggest something to help me repair my LZSK 300mw Green laser from Lazerer.com. I recently had the click switch on the tailcap start to fail on me. Will not turn on sometimes, other times will suddenly turn off, not something I want to just live with as it can be dangerous not knowing if the unit is on or off there. I have done the customer service request twice on the site now over the past few days without any response, assuming they are not going to respond at all to my offer to purchase another tailcap for this to fix the unit. (Anyone have Max's email for lazerer?)

Took the unit apart to see if maybe I could just install a new click switch into it, but it appears to be all one piece embeded into the aluminum threaded piece, dont think I can take it apart.

Took some pictures, let me know if you can suggest anything to help me fix this please!

Where do you live ?
Maybe if Max doesn't reply, you can send it to a close member
to try to fix your tailcap ;)

Will contact Max on the forums here and see what he can do. Just covering bases and seeing if someone knew of a solution if the vendor cant help.

Going on a trip in a month and bringing this out with me into the country in Texas to play with this, hard to use it much as I live within a couple miles of an airport here so always paranoid if I see a plane in the sky.

I live in Madison WI btw, appreciate the help

By the way, you should always resize your pictures to 800 pixels wide when posting em on the forums.

My Rifle clicky from Lazerer was just a little loose and needed to be tightened about 1/4 of a turn. Have you tried that?

Glenn

Unfortunately the switch itself appears to be dying, ensured it was tight and cleaned out well. The metal positive contact plate has come out of its original spot for some reason it seems, and not making contact with the switch inside I would guess. Good suggestion though :)

I bought 6 identical hosts and in 1 one of them I had the exact same problem as you describe. The "click" part is often missing when pressing the clicky and if I do get it to switch it can pop back on its own, or be just as hard to turn off.

I disected it till I only had the plastic clicky assembly and discovered that the error was inside the clicky mechanism, so no way to repair it. If yours is as messed up all you can do is replace it.

Update on this. Max has sent me two new switches free of charge, installed and working great. Great customer service from Lazerer and Max.

wow I got the exactly same problem but Max says I should send my tailcap to him for maintaince?

why cant he just give me new switch or atleast allow me to buy one?
god knowns..

Im getting quite upset with their service.

Ask them if it would be possible to buy the switches and that you can replace them yourself to save on shipping/time.
