You will need a minimum 3 watt diode, then. Better if it is 5 watts.

Then you will need a concave lens and at least one other to collimate.

I believe you will find alignment is necessary to peak the output to maximum. I have worked with a paired YVO4 and KTP crystal and that was necessary for the most power and best beam profile.
