I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the following flashlight as a laser host...

The Garrity K035GST06A flashight with 9 LEDs, and takes 3 AAA batteries. I want to use it with a PHR-803T diode with a rckstr driver. I saw it at Office Max, and it looked really good, so I hope somebody knos if it is or not.  :D

looks like plastic? so you will not transfer much heat out of it. but then a 803T isnt *that* much heat, but you will need some kind of duty-cycle i think.
3AAA is a good size. go for 1AA if it should be smaller. you can widen it and fit a single 2CR in it, and have almost half the space left empty, with 3v from the CR2.

Nevermind, I don't want much duty cycle, I'll just go with a good metal DX host. Any suggestions?

Dealextreme hasn't been working the last few days... I'll look at it as soon as I can. Can you post the picture URL?

Try refreshing the page.

It took a day, but I finally got it. :D Looks good, great price, and 3 AAAs won't kill a PHR-803T, right?

I noticed most of the reviews said it's a poor light, but the build is very nice and sturdy. But that's all I care about! ;D

You are going to use a flexdrive right?
If yes, then 3AAAs will not kill it, and is perfect for the driver.
You can send the host to DarkHorse or Jayrob and get a custom heatsink made.
