StoneTek 808 IR laser diode test

Hi to all!
I have bought two IR diodes from stonetek, and I have made a little lab style laser module with one of these.
I run the diode at 280 mA (200 mW I think), because I have saw it in the datasheet. There is anyone that has tested this diode at higher current?
Anyone has made a handheld laser? Or other lab style laser?

Greg -- I did a review of this diode and posted a week or so back in the review section. I don't know how to make a link but it's there.

My curve shows a "safe" output of 175 mW at 280 mA.

Go look at the history.

On most greenies it is the opposite of red diodes, case is usually positive.

:( arg omg i fried my greenie and stenkat's IR, grrr im going to start a topic about pinout of all diode coz its to confuse :'(

Yes, the Stonetek IR diode have the positive pole in the pin hooked at the case, and the negative pin in the isolated pin (It's the opposite that the stonetek red diode).
