Stepper to galvo upgrade?

I have a SHINP DL-55 4 head laser but ive noticed the stepper motors kinda suck. So im wondering, can I literally swap them for a nice galvonmeter? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!
 





yes you can, but you'll need a DAC and computer software or a DMX board to control the galvos
 
Well the laser machine itself has built in programs...will they still work on the galvos?

doubt it, stepper motors use pulses rather than analog sequences
