Please stop holding your laser that close to the LPM. It gives wrong readings cause of your body heat and the heat from the laser itself. Also, zero your LPM prior to measuring for optimal results.

See, When you buy item XY with the seller having listed some specs it should actually spec up to that.

Assuming that 150mW is real, then that just shows that it is a diode being over-driven to almost 300%. I'd say that's a bad advertisement if you want something that lasts.

I have built about 50 items like that for my customers on everywhere in the wolrd and not get any problem! from the 488nm didoe direct was born in the world

Also, i do not believe body heat is a variable in your measurement. Unless your finger was 1mm from the thermistor, or you where touching it, the LPM wouldnt register your heat. So i would buy your product knowing it would be around 150mw with no doubt. A more likely variable for a difference in power would be clients using low quality batteries, or using dirty lenses.

Just me 2cents.

I always like the small hosts you do.

However, I did have problems with one of them. But they are very nice.

I have that exact host I bought some years ago, what heatsink did you used? For 12mm modules there's like 1mm of empty space between the host walls.

Exact bro! My brass heatsink only like 1mm like you say! It was run perfectly!

blues and greens, my fav's. Thanks for the cool pic's to go with my morning j. I'm currently on a 475nm - 495nm glut. Got some fat beams in 488nm coming in soon!!!! What diode are you using? I've been buying diodes, sinks, and drivers for when it gets cold again and I can't build and ride my motorized bikes and motorcycles. I plan on going laser crazy this winter.
