Spyder III Arctic - Wicked Lasers

I'm New here...FIRST POST!!!

I'm looking to buy one of those Spyder III Arctic Lasers. I found one on eBay that is new, comes with two sets of safety glasses, the lens expander kit, and the cleaning pen, for only $300 buy it now.

Is that a reasonable price? Id like to get one new, but don't want to wait forever to get it.

For $300 you can build or buy a much better laser, just do some searching here on LPF and you will find better!

Its more for novelty purposes than anything. I know about the laser itself, but don't know about the current market value...that's where my problem lies.

I would buy Arctic for $40. Yeah .. a bit less then price of the diode itself, because of poor service of WL.

even the 700mW of an arctic is a little much for a "novelty item" imho. even so, you can get better lasers for a cheaper price... what would you use it for mostly?
