10 is overkill..

going past 4 or 5 would be overkill

the reason the 3 motor is cool is that it gives you the ability to manipulate perspective so you get virtual 3d. adding a 4th would posibly allow that shape to be warped a little.. after that it seems overkill.

Overkill, yes. But has anyone every tried it? It might actually be even better than just 3, you never know.

the motors from dvd burners and bluray drives (2 in each) seem to be the perfect ones to ise...

on a seperate note.... I have noticed (correct me if im wrong) that side view mirrors in most cars seem to be front sirface mirrors.. Posible junkyard gold ?

Unfortunately I am still digging up motors though, I only have 3 at the moment and nothing to hold them with.

some bits of plastic and glue should hold them nicely, even if it does look bad, you can use some old PC fans aswell, i've used them before.

If I had some yeah... So far I have salvaged 2 motors from a RC car and 1 from a old VCR.

cd/dvd/cdr/dvdr drives all seem to have 2 motors a piece that work nicely.
