Spartan 447nm 1W takes longer to ship than expected...

Woohoo! My laser arrived today!

Ordered 8/12, Shipped 9/1, Received 9/17... 21 days processing, 17 days shipping, 38 days total.

The laser is very solid feeling and well-balanced. It may be more plain than alternatives, but I really like the host because it feels and looks like a professional product. The beam is visible in my fairly well-lit office, and the dot in a distant wall is still blindingly bright to look at. I don't have a LPM, but they say 1 watt and I believe it.

Will throw pics up later. Looking forward to getting my safety glasses so I can commence with some burning!
how long did it take after you got the confirmation email and the status said "complete" on their website until the tracking number became updated and started working? It's been 3 days since I got the email but usps still isn't showing my number in their system.

The tracking showed that it was a valid number but had no information. That was the first time I tried it, almost a day after I got the e-mail. I think it was like 3 days later it showed foreign acceptance. That was over 2 weeks ago so my memory is fuzzy, haha.

The tracking details are badly delayed for these shipments. Like yours, my number wasn't in their system for about 3-4 days, but when it was finally shown, it said it was shipped the day dragon completed the order.

But don't worry over the tracking too much, it likely will not be updated properly and many of the packages "stops" might not get listed. Mine said it left Beijing and got approved for shipment through France to the US, but it was never updated again for like 10 days. I looked yesterday morning and it was suddenly in my town and got delivered that same day.

My tracking now says "Your item was accepted in PORTEE on September 19, 2010 at 11:03 am.

The status near the top says Foreign Acceptance.

Does anyone know what this means? Is PORTEE in china or the US? and does foreign acceptance mean it's made it's way into the US?

I think that means your package is at customs atm.

Just wondering if your packages has been updated since then
Mine got shipped the same day, was scanned about an hour before yours and still hasnt show any progress since then

I'm EXTREMELY angry and crazy!! My Spartan came today but I missed it! There was literally 5 packages stuffed into my mailbox, and at the bottom of those package was the dreaded USPS "sorry we missed your delivery!" paper slip. I'm atleast happy that it's now here, but now I have to wait another day! Arg I hate it!!!!

hah well I take it you've been playing with it today? It's AWESOME isn't it? Even better with my Arctic Lens adapters. My line lens literally casts a fully visible line across the sky. Looks like the liquid sky effect in the form of a vertical line.

What are you using for batteries? and how long does it last? I'm getting some pretty terrible battery life. Probably around 3-5 minutes of runtime before it "goes out."

I've been playing with it the last couple days. I got the diffraction gratings from DL as well and those are really nice outside. I get that beam fan effect as well with one of them. I'm using the Tenergy 3.2V 750mAh. They last around 15/20 minutes. They were referred by a review here that reviewed 4 batteries and this one was the best choice.

is it this one?

or this one?

I have the blue, and I'm thinking I will get the yellow if that's what you have.

edit: yep, the yellow is what I need, it's been confirmed in the other topic.

It is the yellow one. The blue one is the battery that scored worst in LaserLights battery review :) Also the blue one is a 3.7v regulated to 3.0v meaning each time you turn your laser on for a very short time they will put out 3.7 - 4.2v and overtime that may damage your laser. Check LaserLight review here: http://laserpointerforums.com/f52/dragon-lasers-1w-spartan-54013.html

Thanks X FLY I appreciate it. I had seen that review before, looking for the yellow ones, I somehow ended up getting blue.

Actually mine aren't the ones in that review. Mine look EXACTLY like the yellow except blue instead. The one that starts at 3.7V has a light blueish background on the battery, while mine is gray like the picture above.

Hi there every one. I just bought a 1W Spartan yesterday. According to your experience, could you please let me know the estimated time for receiving the product? Thanks in advance.
