Sound lasers inch closer to reality

Wow, first time I've read anything about a "saser". Sounds pretty cool (pun intended)

Yes i know about them,... Would be nice to have a option with a high powerd 532nm laser that shoot photons on the frequency of the sound to dazzle a target if necesary. Laser Quantum, the dpss laser company, provides excellent laser technology to the world's photonics community. Their aim to be the premier supplier of laser technology across europe and beyond

The military is moving away from Laser Dazzle, too many poorly built units without safeguards, and too many high power green pointers ending up on the battlefield, out side of the approved supply chain. Its leading to counterbattery fire from the bad guys, and a number of blue on blue incidents. A number of soldiers have been injured with dazzler prototypes,as well. Issue tactical mil pointers are red for the most part, for reduced scattering in dusty locations.
